It is fixed
Not that Cablevision informed me that someone was at the house, but a
recent check of the lower channels shows a much improved picture
(though not nearly as good as satellite). So, for the time being I
will say that the cable issue has been resolved. Not to be a jerk about
it, but, lets see how long it lasts.
